The Lubbock Lights
We’re not talking about Lubbock’s night skyline. No, the “Lubbock Lights” refers to V-shaped UFO sightings in the Lubbock night sky in August of 1951. Because of the credibility of many of the witnesses and the fact that there were photographs of the anomaly, this sighting is considered one of the first UFO sightings to be taken seriously by the public and the government.
Lubbock celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 2009.
